Dr Mira Puri
Commercialization Manager, Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine (CCRM)
Dr. Mira Puri currently holds the position of Manager of Research Partnerships at CCRM (Centre for Commercialization of Regenerative Medicine). Prior to joining CCRM, Mira was Staff Scientist at the Lunenfeld Tanenbaum Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she managed international projects in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. She holds a faculty position in the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. Mira also previously led a research laboratory at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and has a PhD from the Department of Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto, and B.Sc. From McGill University. Before completing her PhD, Mira spent 4 years in Japan studying bioluminescent marine organisms, some of which have provided important tools for cell biologists. Outside the lab, Mira enjoys various hobbies including gardening, ice hockey, tennis and canoe/camping, and is an avid reader of fiction.
