Gerry Boychuk

Gerry Boychuk is a professor of political science at the University of Waterloo. His writings include Patchworks of Purpose: The Development of Provincial Social Assistance Regimes in Canada and National Health Insurance in the United States and Canada: Race, Territory and the Roots of Difference which won the Canadian Political Science Smiley Prize for the Best Book on Government and Politics in Canada. His current book project focuses on populism and female suffrage in the northern plains states and prairie provinces in the early 20th century. He teaches US and Canadian politics.
