
Lisa Pijuan-Nomura
Storyteller, Multidisciplinary Artist and Creativity Coach
As a graduate of the School of Physical Theatre, Lisa has a unique style of combining storytelling, movement, music and visual art in both choreographed and improvised pieces. She previewed her latest show PityFace, to great acclaim at The Staircase Theatre. Her show Small Sweet and Quiet combines stories of a woman searching for home intertwined with histories of women in Hamilton’s history. It was part of the 2014 Studio series at Theatre Aquarius. Her one woman shows Stories My Body Told Me and She Said Saffronwere performed at Hamilton Fringe Festival, Fida, Harbourfront Ritmo Y Colour Festival, Montreal Fringe Festival, Toronto Storytelling Festival, Uno Festival, RESIDANCE, and RED:A Night of Live Performance.
Dance Critic Paula Citron of Classical 96.3 Radio writes “Light on her feet and expressive of voice, Pijuan is absolutely captivating.”
She is part of the storytelling group The Hamilton 7, mentors youth artists of Mighty Brave and is the Artistic Director of the new online space, Studio Beulah that celebrates art, performance and community.
