Robert O'Brien

Robert O’Brien is Professor of Political Science at McMaster University. His teaching and research interests are in the fields of international political economy, global governance, global civil society (especially labour), and the political economy of climate change.  The sixth edition of his co-authored textbook Global Political Economy: Evolution and Dynamics was published in April 2020. He is also author of Labour Internationalism in the Global South (Cambridge 2019) and Contesting Global Governance: Global Economic Institutions and Global Social Movements (Cambridge 2000).
