Dr. Abigail Richardson-Schulte shares her unlikely story of being a deaf child to becoming one of Canada’s top composers.

Ian Hamilton will speak about his journey as a writer – “and a rather unusual trip it was”.

Part of it will include a segment on what it takes to create a novel.

The physical needs for thriving are, basically, the same at any age; muscle strength, cardiovascular fitness, flexibility and co-ordination. In this presentation, I will be breaking complex ideas into easy to understand pieces while focusing on 5 specific things to work on for someone who wants to live a life with a large degree of independence.

Members of the Halton Regional Police Service will update our audience on the latest frauds and scams along with trends of these ever-evolving tactics. We will learn how to recognize scams and how to avoid becoming a victim. Topics within the presentation will include fraud trends, technology challenges and new technologies, along with the opportunity to ask questions of the Police Force on this topic.
